IDP presented itself at the Democracy Festival
Even the weather was good at the Democracy Festival, with which the city of Bonn celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law on May 25. The Bonn International Democracy Prize (IDP) association was there with its own stand to raise awareness of the prize after it was successfully revived as the International Prize for Democracy and the Rule of Law in cooperation with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and, this year, the city.
The small stand in front of the World Conference Center Bonn was very popular. Interested parties were informed about the prize in numerous discussions, including a small group of women from Syria, Afghanistan and Kosovo.
A memory game challenged visitors' knowledge of the Basic Law, and visitors could leave their wishes on a wish wall and take a photo of themselves and their wish home with them as a souvenir.
