It is an example of a functioning democracy. Since the relocation of the Federal Government to Berlin, Bonn has been linked in a special way to the idea of international cooperation as a peace-building moment and, as the German city of the United Nations with the headquarters of 26 UN organizations, is a place of international dialogue on future issues.
